Turkey Trots, Food Drives and more! Reaching Out to Help this Thanksgiving!

With Thanksgiving, and the holidays coming up, our focus starts to take a turn towards the holiday spirit.  We start to think more about helping others instead of just helping ourselves. There no better feeling than helping out people who are less fortunate.

That being said, get involved this holiday season starting with Thanksgiving. Beltsville, MD and the surrounding areas all have opportunities for people to pitch in and help from food drives, soup kitchens to Turkey Trots, every little bit helps!

Some exmples of organizations that are taking donations are:

• Capital Food Bank
• Maryland Food Bank
• Giant Grocery Stores
• Food For Others
• Rockville Holiday Drive

Want to make room for lots of food on Thanksgiving and do it for a good cause? Join a local Turkey Trot (5K Run or Walk).
